Does anyone remember Fame? (if you grew up in the 80s you do)I wonder whatever happened to the cast of that show!! My favorite was Leroy!!

I wasn't much of a Fame person back in the day. An interesting fact is that Madonna tried out for a part in the show and was turned down.

I saw the actor (I can't recall his name off-hand)who played Leroy on some "Where Are They Now?" type-show a while back. He's an "exotic" male dancer living in Italy now, where he's supposedly a big star. They showed a clip of him walking around town very swishily and being "mobbed" by adoring fans!!! :rolleyes:

I didn't bother watching Fame until I found out that all my friends loved the show, so I started watching it..... and became hooked!

Great show, with some great characters. I particularly liked the actress who played Holly later on during its run.

Was Holly played by Cynthia Gibb, I believe that is who played her!! I really Love it when Janet Jackson was on there!! and I really loved Debbie Allen!!

I think Holly was played by Cynthia Gibb, Suzanne. I remember Cynthia from her days playing Wendy on the soap opera Search For Tomorrow. I always liked her a great deal! :)

I'm pretty sure you are both right. I think that was indeed her name. She also played the love interest for the Indian guy on Short Circuit 2.

The movie had Laura Dern in it. The TV show also starred Janet Jackson, Lori Singer and Paige Hannah (Daryl's sister)

That was Cynthia Gibb. She also played Karen Carpenter in the made for TV movie "The Karen Carpenter Story".
