I can't remember which person sent me an e-mail on this one, but here's the info. Just watched Huey's Behind The Music and it was great. If you can't tell he was one of my favorites from the 80's and he is definetly still around. As a matter of fact I just picked up front row seats to see him at the Universal City Theater on Friday night Sept 28th. He is sold out! Well hope that answers someones question about him. The "Heart Of Rock N'Roll" is still beatin' and it will be good to see him again. For any fans who haven't watched him in concert he puts on a helluva show and he sounds just like he did on the radio back in the day......
I loved Huey Lewis and the News. I believe he's been doing some producing. He's also been bitten by the acting bug. You can see him in the movie Duets. It is now available in most movie rental places. :D

Thanks Jen, yep already saw "Duets" and it was pretty good. Huey actually told Gweneth Paltrow that she should really pursue her singing career because she had a great voice. I think he's right.....
I finally got to see Duets Sunday night. It was really good. You are right, Gwyneth Paltrow does have a great voice. I was surprised.

Hey I'm glad you got to see "Duets" Jen. I too was surprised that it was really a good show. Did you like it when Gweneth sang "Betty Davis Eyes"? I thought she did a pretty good job, not as good as Kim Carnes, but hey overall she held her own. I can't wait until this Friday, I'm gonna go see Huey and the News in concert. I've seen him before, but I just never get tired of this guy.....I will tell you about it after I come back.
Awesome! Please do tell how they were! Do you know if Huey Lewis & the News are going to make it to the East coast? I wouldn't mind seeing them in concert.

Hey Adam, I have to tell you that Huey Lewis and the News were soooooooo awesome!!!!! I haven't been that excited about seeing a rock group in awhile. I can't remember the name of the opening act, but when Huey took the stage, the place went crazy! He looked very cool in his purple zoot suit and snake skins shoes. I mean the guy doesn't seem to age. The rest of the band looked great too. The only guy who wasn't there was Mario Cippolina the base player. You remember the guy who always had the cigarette hanging out of his mouth in the videos. Anyway, they played about 5 new songs from his latest album "Plan B" and they were very good. I actually bought that cd at the concert and it sounds like vintage Huey. Anyway, when he played "Power Of Love" and "Heart Of Rock'n Roll" everybody jumped to their feet and the concert hit high gear. The concert lasted about two hours and fifteen minutes, we definetly got our moneys worth. He came back out for the oncore and played "Workin For A Livin" and " I Want A New Drug" and "Jacobs Ladder" and the whole place lit up. I have to say that it was better than the concert I saw of his, ten years ago. So I will shut up now and quit raving, but it was cool to see eveyone from our age, older and younger teens rocking to Huey and the News......I even got a t-shirt. Anyway, I am searching for his concert info and will try to see if he's touring on the East coast, and I will let you know Adam, thanks for askin how it went.......
I'm glad Huey's still all that. The last concert I went to was Aerosmith in '99. Talk about an awesome concert. *OMG*
