Anyone know what happened to her? Does anyone remember the one hit wonder, "Bufallo Stance"? I heard this song today while shopping in the Dollar Store! I haven't heard it in years!

I remember Nineh Cherry, but have no idea where she is now. I think she was more than a one-hit wonder down here in New Zealand though, however she came and went quickly and was never heard of again.

Neneh Cherry did do some stuff up through the 90s as well.
Don't forget her global hit single "seven seconds" with african singer Youssou N'dour in 1994.
She released an album "Man" in 1996 after after that i don't know what happened.

BTW Neneh Cherry is the stepdaughter of the late free jazz trumpet player Don Cherry.

As you may know, her brother is Eagle-Eye Cherry, who had a song on the charts a few years ago. If I am not mistaken, Neneh did some singing on it...if not also produced it. Well, let me get back to the Buffalo Stance, you know how hard that is...

I heard years ago that she had hepatitis or something like that...some kind of nasty virus....I can't remember exactly what it was...she was very groovy, though....that "Buffalo Stance" song totally reminds me of a trip I took to Bermuda when it first came out and hadn't been played ad nauseum yet....

According to the Neneh Cherry ML, these are some of the titles of songs in the new album. The order is probably not right.

This CD will be out in early 2001. Neneh's team is still working on the final details.
In this new project Neneh will sings whit Sheryl Crow, and collaborate with Bernard Butler (ex Suede), Nigel Pulsford (Bush), and Huey (Fun Lovin' Criminals).
