Got a Hickey?

Without getting X-rated....how many of us were guilty of having these? I had lots of these during high school, and I've given my share....What are your guys' stories? Quick remedies to remove? Etc.

According to the Axe Wearer's Handbook, this is how to remove a hickey.

Chill a spoon or fork until it's freezing to the touch; then apply the utensil to the affected area. Gently rub it on the bruise at 30-minute intervals until the discoloration fades.

I hated them!
I remeber when we thought toothpaste would help get rid of them!

Whatever you do don't use Concealer - Because it does not work, if anything it just make it worse!!! :D

I don't think anything works! I tried them all. I hated them too! What is the whole fascination with giving them? Thats what I want to know.

I wore a lot of high-neck sweaters in high school. :laughin: None of the "hickey-fixes" ever worked for me.

I actually liked them! They felt good when being applied. :laughin: And no, I'm not into vampirism or pain for that matter!

I've only had a few- I once had an ex who could give hickeys in the shape of hearts - which was odd. :)

Ahh...when we were young and full of _um...hickeys were pretty much marks of passion. Now, they're just simply ugly and so unprofessional when people come in to work with them.

I hated hicky's! A friend of mine in high school spelled her name out in hicky's on her boyfriends chest. It was just NASTY!!!

I had a huge hicky once. But it wasn't a boyfriend who gave it to me. Noone believes this story. Anyway, my nephew was teething and we both fell asleep. I guess he was sucking away on my neck and the next thing you know i have a HUGE hickey on my neck. I was devistated. My boyfriend dumped me. To top it all off i had to shoot a video the next day for AIDS awareness. The teache thought i was some sort of freak. I mean there i was talking about safe sex and abstinence (sp) with a huge hicky on my neck! :rofl:

I remember my first one. I was dating my friends older brother and he gave me one. I was about 12 .. I didn't know what he was doing at first.. but I about died when I saw my neck in the bathroom mirror. I tried to rub it with a brush and then put toothpaste on it. But nothing happened. I hid it from my mother thank GOD.

I gave one to my ex boyfriend one time right on his eye.. it looked like he had a black eye.


I know for a fact of a way to get rid of it.. i know because I have tried it. Go to the tanning bed rub lotion on your neck lay in the tanning bed for 20 minutes and it is gone.

mmmm.. hickeys.. fun to give and fun to receive, but so fugly.
i think back to the days when wearing them was a badge of honor and now when i think of them all i can do is shake my head at innocence and ignorance.. :)

I had almost forgotten about hickeys! :laugh: (I've been married over 10 years) :hmmm: Let me think... Oh yeah..I remember my first one. Didn't want my mom to see it so after it happened, I ran over to a friends house and she helped me cake about an inch of makeup foundation over it! :laugh:

I remember thinking they were cool, and when my friends and I were much younger, trying to give ourselves hickeys with vacuum cleaners :rofl: But as I got older (teenage years) I hated them..there was nothing sexy about the process or the hickey itself :confused2
