I've been watching the I Love The 70s specials on this week. Last night they started advertising I Love The 80s Strikes Back! It's supposed to air in September. :D

But mine did say October!! Is it because I am from the Northeast or something? It didn't say September! confused2

I had my childhood in the 70s. I try to catch what I can of the 70s shows. I did not realize how old I am, and how much I remember about the 70s! I died laughing when they talked about the Electric Co.! But they did not say anything about Spiderman on the Electric Co.!!! I am so looking forward to the 80s shows, whether it airs in September or October.

Nope! You're right. I watched again tonight and it said October. Oopsie. :)

Did you guys see the Band-Aid commercial tonight? John Travolta and Lisa Kudrow singing, "I am hooked on band-aid cause band-aid's hooked on me!"

Yes! I caught that Band-Aid commercial yesterday! It was pretty funny, but wasnt that Terri Garr?

And I'm totally excited they're having another 80's show!

Great news 83! I'm looking forward to the next one! I still hope they put the last one on DVD! When I visited VH-1's message board, everyone was interested in having a DVD. I'll be interested to see if they produced one yet.

I am quite thrilled to hear about another I Love the 80s mini-series! I guess the first installment was so immensely popular, they have to make another one to cover all the great things they left out the first time!

I have missed two episodes of "I Love the 70s", I'm not gonna fret. I'm sure VH1 will show it a few thousand more times. I did notice something about this particular series unlike the 80s. Did it seem like at EVERY chance a person had to comment about a toy, TV show, person, novelty-whatever-there was somehow a sexual innuendo mixed in with it? I mean EVERYTHING!! Still fun to watch.

I pratically didn't watch the whole I Love 70s series because I am not a 70s fan. Disco, bell-bottoms, and Barry Manillow.....blech:yuck: That just didn't do it for me. I am possibly forever an 80s fan........:)

I phreakin' hooked on VH-1...I managed to hook up a spare TV in the kitchen and I've been glued ever since. If a DVD comes out, damn, I would dish out some bucks for it.....me first!

Me too Tim. It would be nice to have a copy for the library. LOL 83survivor! I wasn't a big fan of disco and bell bottoms back then either, but looking back at it now, the 70s were a pretty cool time. Not as great as the 80s of course. ;)

I've watched a few episodes of "I Love the '70s" (1973-1979) and I don't think they did as good a job with that as they did, "I love the'80s".
It seems like they just threw some '70's things together and that was it.
Like, for 1977 they talk about a toy called "Klik-Klaks". It was also called "Klackers". They were 2 balls on a string, then you click them together really fast.
Anyway, those actually came out in like 1970 or '71, and they were pretty much done by 1972. The ones I had were made of GLASS! And I remember my mom taking them away from me when kids started getting hurt from them. (I was like 7 or 8)

Anyway, I thought that the shows were very unorganized, and they left out a lot! They didn't talk about the '70s teen idols, like Leif Garrett, Shaun Cassidy, Scott Baio, Parker Stevenson.
(Leif Garrett was on the show, but they didn't talk about his singing/acting career or Shaun's)
I just think they could have done a better job with it. They could have talked about some of the '70s rock bands. They only talked about Kiss, Led Zeplin, The Who and a brief mention of Aerosmith and Queen.
They did a really good job with "I Love the '80s"
So I guess I'm just a little dissapointed!

D'oh, I forgot to ask my Mom to tape this, since it was going to be on all day today. Oh well, I'll have to see when it's on again.
I saw the shows on and off yesterday, and I can't believe all the things that I remembered. I love 70s culture (especially the music). I'm just wondering if they'll have "I Love the 60s" next.
I can't wait to check out the new "I Love the 80s" series. I just hope Michael Ian Black isn't on it, because he was on the first I Love the 80s and he was on the I Love the 70s, and I'm getting sick of seeing him comment on EVERYTHING. I liked him in Ed and on MTV's The State, but he is just plain annoying. :p
My favorite part was when they showed Bernadette and the other Zoomer (can't remember his name). I remember trying to do that arm thing Bernadette did. I kept hitting myself in the face when I did it. :p Boy, I loved Zoom, I've seen the new version and it's just not the same.
Also, Bambi, where I'm from they were called Kik-Klaks. My sister had one, and I tried them once and gave myself a bloody nose. Those things are weapons.

Well, I can't wait for the sequel to I Love the 80s. This is totally cool!:D
