View Full Version : 80's Action Movies
Love em Rambooooooooooooo except Didnt like Rambo 3 that much To much Afghan statments that whernt true and the hind and russian tanks where horrible rip offs of russian equiptment. Afghans peaceful people? No against other countries yes because there always to busy fighting each other they only stop to fight outsiders like in waziristan regardless of modern time im also talking history people but enought talk lets talk 80's action movies perhaps you can recommend me some to check out.
The Die Hard movies were good back in the 80s. They're a little cheezy when I watch them now though. Top Gun was good and so was Empire Stikes Back of course.

Always a fav topic of mine! Loads of 80s action movies had the "one man against a whole army" plot with only little attention to the acting and general believability. Commando, Rambo, Missing In Action....the list goes on and on.
I want those back!!! :p

Most of the 80's action films were horribly violent and cold blooded. Yet.....
James Bond films you could never go wrong with bad guys, guns, garrouts, cars, women and a martini.
"Terminator" remains to this day James Cameron's best film because its just so human and relentless.
"Aliens" was more in the corn section but its a great party film!
"Rambo" I've only seen the first Rambo film and it is brilliant.
"Die Hard" Absolute classic film.
"Empire Strikes Back" A fantastic film for galvanising your hope only to crush it at the end.
"Beverly Hills Cop II" Best comedy of the decade
"The Hidden" Despite being my every definition of a overly corny and unpleasantly violent and negative film, there's something about Kyle Machlachlan and Michael Nouri's chemistry as characters that makes me appreciate every viewing.
