I'll be 34 in December. Turning 30 wasn't such a bad thing, but I do miss my 20s. ;)

This just happened to me last week. I'm at the grocery store buying some groceries and a bottle of wine. I have my 10 and 8 year olds with me. The cashier goes, "may I see your I.D. please". I guess I should be flattered but I would have to have been 11 years old when my daughter was born to be 21. Maybe its that anti-aging cream I've been using. lol

Hell yeah dp. Same thing happened to me a couple years ago. My oldest daughter is 15. The cashier says, "can I see her I.D." and I say "since when does my daughter have to show her I.D.". The cashier says "you don't look old enough to have a daughter that age" and I say "mind your own damned business". Can't I just by my Mad Dog 20/20 and be left alone.

Hey! I still have what my fiance refers to as "That BonJovi Jacket" hanging in the closet! You know, the jeans jacket with the fringe on it! You never know when I might need it! He'd love for me to throw that out!
OH!! And I do have some LA Jeans, that I will probably never get into again. Do you remember the commercials with Heather Locklear and her LA Jeans?

Adam

I threw any clothing that had anything to do with the 80's years ago. I love the music but you couldn't pay me to dress in any of that clothing again. What a great era for music but what the hell were we thinking wearing all that horrible clothing.

drunkpunk
07-25-2001, 06:49 PM
Yep. Gone is the clothing, except my punk leather. It has years n years of memories and art on it. I couldnt bear to throw that out. I remember shaving my head in haste one year, perhaps 90? Anyway, every once in a while I miss my big robert smith hair. I had the biggest hair in skewl one year. Oh the days! lol. Hooray for Aquanet lol.

I still have my Guess? jeans...and still can fit into them! I, too, have my "Bon Jovi" fringe jacket, as well as a waist length jean jacket that has beaded fringe all on the back of it...with rhinestones. And studs. (No, I just have it...I don't wear it. Okay, I am lying!)

My hair is still big, (you can see in my profile), and I still look bizactly like I did in HS. I am still 4'10, I still weigh in at 95lbs, and I will be a fluff chick until I die!

BTW...why is it that girls get so offended by the term "chick"? I am one, what's the big deal?

ALSO...does anyone else remember the 3/4 sleeve shirts that had the rainbow going up one sleeve, across the chest, and back down the other sleeve? I just found a horrendous pic of me in one from 7th grade. (circa 1982) GAG ME WITH A SPOON!!! :)

OY Zalve!!

Everyone would see the pics....and absolutely die laughing!!! The 80's were the BEST decade, however, you look at the pics and say to yourself, "My God, what on EARTH was I thinking?!?!?!?"

I wil have to find someone with a scanner, (I only have a digital camera), or head on up to Kinko's to do it.

I do have photo albums online here at cartogra.com. If you page down to where it says "view friends album", type in gretchen1987 and it'll open all of my albums.

Not really a shameless plug...it is just a site where I keep all the photos so that everyone can view them. (In Fla...in Cali...in SC...you get the idea!)

Ya know...when it was happening, I didn't even think of that!! I was laughing pretty hard at your view of it!!! ( :D :D )

Actually, he was pretty drunk. We had gone to play pool down in Cleveland Hts. and Ihad about 6 long island iced teas, and he had about 8 vodka tonics. (That's about all he CAN drink...he's a type 1 diabetic!) So, my job was to get him over to Brett&Suzyn's...but we made a detour to Arabica. We got to the party, and his gift from Brett was an entire bottle of Absolute! He was halfway through that thing when gift time came!!

Needless to say....he was quite drunk. I drove us home at 4am, he laid down on the bed fully clothed and fell asleep. I tried to undress him, but, b/c his sugar was so high, (I had to test him and give him his shot while he was out...it was WAY HIGH!), he threw me off the bed, into the wall and onto the floor! It was hysterical....I was laughing so hard I was crying!!! When I told him about it the next morning, he felt really bad, but that is one of the side effects of high/low sugar. The person becomes foggy...and the brain shuts down.

So, I have rambled on and on...what did you ask?!? (*teasing*)

*hug*

Hi!! Some of you already know my age from some other posts, but since I haven't contributed anything to this topic, I figured I might as well add my 2 cents worth Anyways, I'm 22 yrs. old, which definately makes me pretty young among 80's fans! At least I can say that I'm unique in my group of friends - they all listen to today's rock :D

.. Nice to see you all again, haven't been around in a couple of months! BTW, where did you get that great smiley, Drunkpunk? I love it

Thanxs. I believe I got it from a site called SPYDERZ. Look on google search, keword graemlins/smilies or read through this entire post, I posted a link to there sometime ago!

Leilani here... 25 years old I don't feel a bit over 15 though. Some say I don't even look it either. Unfortunatly two years ago I got carded for asking for an application to work for a dollar store! UNBELIEVABLE!

Belated welcome Cheryllynn79, for a minute I thought you might be my cousin until I looked at the state you were posting from.

I love how this thread keeps going, and going...

I felt old at 23 when my nephew was born. 30 was a piece of cake by comparison. I love being in my 30's. I hear 40's are even better. Let you know when I get there, though I'm in no rush. LOL

Hi,

I'm new. Posted a few tonight, but it's time for bed. Thought I'd add to this long list.

I turned 33 on March 4. Most people think I'm younger, but I feel older.
