It seems that kids these days don't play TAG as much as I did. Maybe all the video games are doing them wrong. Or do I just not notice, since I'm older?
Favorite variations of Tag / Hide & Seek...
Regular Tag
Freeze Tag
Cops & Robbers Freeze Tag
TV Tag
Tunnel Tag
Hide & Seek
Sardines
And, of course, hide & seek boundaries were always outrageously far :)
Anyone remember any other variations?
You are right, EEB... kids do not play active games such as Tag anymore!!! My favorite was always Freeze Tag... we would also play "Waldo's Germs" where you had to "pass" the germs off to another unsuspecting student...

Ehrm, does "Duck, Duck, Goose" count?
Other than that I just played regular tag.

In 2nd grade, we used to play "strip" tag...though it was quite tame. I remember I always wore those little damn "bloomer" things under my dresses, (I wasn't allowed to wear pants, my mom wouldn't let me), so I used to take those off if I got tagged.
Such a little tramp, even back then!!

Playing tag while growing up was always fun! My mom babysat at least 15 kids while we were growing up, so it was even better. Games of tag included....
1. Freeze Tag
2. Colored Eggs
3. Ghost in the Graveyard
4. T.V. Tag
5. Duck Duck Goose
6. Marco Polo
7. Hide and Seek
8. Fox and geese(whoever was it, was the fox)
9. Dodgeball
Today's generation is very different from ours. Come to think of it I haven't seen any kids in my neighborhood playing tag. They mostly ride bikes.

Hey Suzanne! We used to play tag at the rollerskating rink all the time! Ofcourse I was on speed team, so it wasn't too bad for us!
Anyone hear about this crusade to ban DodgeBall from school? Aparently it's not a good morale building game. And "agression begets agression".
I guess that is part of the "wimpification" of the American Children! Ha ha ha!

Hey Bambi, How stupid!!! they are trying to band Dodgeball!!! You would think they would be more Concerned with making sure kids were not shot at while they were at school or with someone trying to sale them drugs, then with trying to band a game that has been around for years..
