my friends and i were trying to remember the name of this one toy that we all had way back in the day. it was, as one of our mothers described it, a cheaper version of lite brite. it had little yellow and pink wheel tools as well as triangles and circles. if you wanted to erase your picture, you slide the screen up and it all cleared away, kinda like an etch-a-sketch. there was also a pink dial on the bottom that you could turn to move the colored light bulb around inside and it would change the color of your picture. also, the screen was black and the sides, where the tools went were white. the bottom was a light blue shade. any help with this would be great. thanks

Boy, you got me. I don't remember a toy like this, but I'm sure someone here will. Good luck in your search.

They still make a version of this toy today. My nephew was playing with it the other day. I'll have to get back to you on the name of it though.

Was it a Magna-Doodle? or did it have a pink screen that you lifted up to erase the picture? I can't remember the name of that one.

no...i know what you are talking about with the pink screen, and it was nothing like that. it was an etch-a-sketch crossed with a lite-brite. there was a light underneath the screen, and when you pushed the tools into the screen, the light shone through. and it made a popping sound when you cleared the screen too...

I totally remember that. I had one! I have no idea what it was called, but I remember using the wheels on it, etc. :)

I don't remember that one. Sorry. But I do remember Lite Brite. That was my sister's favorite. I liked the Spiro-graph more.

Was it called Picture Play Lite? It was a smaller version of Lite Brite which came out in 1985. It was made by Janex.
